Training Objectives
– Introduce students to Phoenician-Punic architecture and provide them with a general idea to understand the archaeological perspective within its historical context.
– Familiarize students with ancient Moroccan pottery and help them develop an archaeological perspective within its historical framework.
– Introduce students to Latin writings and provide them with a general understanding to explore the Maghreb society and its social strata.
– Familiarize students with ancient Moroccan coins and provide them with an overview of the emergence and spread of currency in the ancient world.
– Provide students with necessary methodological techniques for historical research.
– Introduce students to Roman architecture and provide them with a general idea to understand the archaeological perspective within its historical context.
– Familiarize students with ancient Moroccan mosaics and help them develop an archaeological perspective within its historical framework.
– Introduce students to local funeral architecture and rituals and provide them with a general idea to understand the archaeological perspective within its historical context.
Targeted Qualifications and Competencies
– Management of archaeological heritage in general.
– Management and administration of preservation, restoration, and research departments at the National Office for the Exploitation of Cultural Properties.
– Management and administration of nationally and internationally classified museums and archaeological sites in Algeria.
– Conducting archaeological surveys.
– Participation in excavations and various archaeological research activities.
– Preparation of reports on various archaeological survey works.
