Language and Communication Diseases
Objectives
– Addressing urgent social needs in the care of language, speech, and voice disorders in both children and adults.
– Training professional specialists for hospitals, institutions, and specialized centers in the following five areas:
– Oral and written language disorders.
– Stuttering in children and adults.
– Hearing impairment.
– Voice disorders.
– Intellectual disabilities.
– Sensory-motor disorders.
– Keeping up with continuous research developments, which require ongoing adaptation to preventive strategies, establishing diagnostic tools such as tests, and developing care plans.
The main objective is to train Arthrophonia specialists to meet the high demand from Algerian universities, without exception, which urgently need to provide an adequate number of professors to address the significant shortage of teaching in this field.
Competencies
The project aims to train Arthrophonia specialists to address various language, speech, and voice disorders, as well as communication problems and intellectual disabilities in both children and adults. It also aims to prepare academic researchers in this field.
