Aims & Scope
Oceanographia Journal publishes scientific articles: Original research papers; Review articles; Short communications; Commentaries; Perspectives and Special issues on marine research.
Published manuscripts can contribute to, but are not limited to: Physical, chemical and biological oceanography; Marine ecology and environment; Marine pollution; Biomonitoring of contaminants (bioaccumulation, bioconcentration, biomagnification, etc.); Regional and local knowledge of biodiversity and marine bioresources; Aquaculture; Marine geosciences (Coastal risk and vulnerability, Marine geochemistry); Ecotoxicology and risk assessment; Regional and local knowledge in coastal management; Socio-economic impacts of maritime activities; Marine management and conservation (integrated coastal zone management, maritime spatial planning, blue economy, conservation of marine protected areas, maritime governance); Operational oceanography (investigation tools in the marine environment, e.g., remote sensing, GIS, artificial intelligence, etc.).
