– Acquiring knowledge about the nature of developmental and academic learning difficulties and how to identify students experiencing such difficulties.

– Familiarizing with criteria and methods for diagnosing specific learning difficulties and methods of support for those who are struggling.

– Understanding the problem of school dropout, identifying related concepts, dropout factors, its effects, lack of qualification, and factors contributing to lack of qualification.

– Empowering students to comprehend concepts such as inclusion, accommodation, integration, and enabling them to understand the process of educational and vocational integration for individuals with special needs or disabilities.

– Recognizing the problem of school violence, its different types, contributing factors, and preventive measures.

– Familiarizing with the most common disorders in the school environment that affect children at various stages of their education and acquiring the ability to observe and diagnose these disorders.

– Understanding the importance of social psychology in schools, comprehending the role of schools in socialization, and recognizing the influence of both the family and the school on students.

– Grasping some theories explaining motivational dynamics in the educational context and equipping students with the ability to analyze situations that enhance or hinder motivation.

Targeted Qualifications and Competencies

The training aims to develop a set of abilities and skills among students in the following areas:

– Acquiring foundational knowledge and major theoretical orientations in studying child and adolescent disorders in the school environment.

– Mastering clinical interview techniques, active listening skills, and individual and group intervention techniques in the school environment.

– Learning the steps of conducting and monitoring case studies and providing appropriate support.

– Applying psychological tests and conducting psychological assessments.

– Developing the ability to diagnose school-related problems and associated psychological issues.

– Familiarizing with various counseling programs and individual and group intervention programs.

– Developing the ability to work collaboratively as part of an institutional team and striving to achieve its objectives.

After obtaining a bachelor’s degree, students can work, based on their abilities and interests, in the following fields:
